The agony for Charlotte is many fold in this picture.
- she is naked
- she is being publicly displayed in Minsk town square
- she has already been lashed
- the townsfolk are yelling obscenities at her
- the sedile is both hurting and stimulating her

That head position is sexy and convincing, but I think that one's head would fall sightly to one side or the other in death. To fall perfectly forward would be like flipping a nickle and having it land on its edge.
You can try this yourself: relax your neck and shoulder muscles as much as possible, and have someone support your head as you tilt it forward. Then slowly take away the support. Your head will fall forward and tilt slightly right or left.
Someone else with more knowledge of human anatomy may be able to explain better this lolling of the head.

Excessive thanks, Em. I was careful to say "posted by" crucificador2 because I didn’t know the artist's identity. Now I do, and shall seek out more of his work, most of which I’ve missed.

back in 2005. Jedakk was working with the Poser figure that eventually became Sabina, trying out hair props. He eventually gave up trying to get long hair to not melt into a body in frantic motion, and wrote a tight bun into the story

but with long hair the executioners can easily hold her head back by grabbing it, so they prevent her from writhing and thrashing around the upper body, imagine this when nailing her wrists! I think this would be a great and awesome nailing scene.
