I will start by saying, I personally am not the biggest crucifixion enthusiast. In general, and I am not someone who's very interested in physical torture, let alone alone execution. It's just not my fantasy... by itself. My fantasy is, however, Ancient Roman slavery. Slavery is my single biggest interest, and of course there are few settings as good for it as Rome. I am after exploring feelings of crushing defeat, subjugation, impotence and helplessness, all of which is the lot of a slave.

I like crucifixion as part of the context, as part of the backdrop for my slavery. KurvyKate has made a point that reflects my view on this:

"However, as a punishment it’s a sweet threat to dread and if I’d signed up to be controlled and subjugated knowing I might be publicly humiliated by being tied to a cross naked, I’d be flawlessly behaved."

I'd go further and say I would indeed adore to be threatened with deadly crucifixion. Nailed to the cross, legs broken, hoisted along the side of the road. But I don't fantasize of actually suffering that. Only of being terrified of it, terrified into groveling submission.

So essentially, I joined hoping to discuss ancient Roman slavery, and to share and bare my fantasies on the subject with like-minded individuals.

You'll find plenty of like minded people here ...
... there will just be some amount of stories and images you'll want to skip over because they indeed focus on physcial torture exclusively, or executions.

When it comes to extreme punishment, there is...
... recognition (this could happen)
.. .terror (they want to do it to me)
... acceptance (I can't avoid or escape, it's my destiny, maybe I even deserve)
... occurance (it's happening! they are doing it!)
... and then ... the end. With execution, that consummation is death, but it doesn't have to be, as fantasy is free to fly to where-ever.

I'll admit freely that in the progression of that, under the right circumstances of the fantasy it can be exhilerating for it to happen ... but I tune out before the end.

The experience of slavery and how the mind copes with becoming a slavegirl, or living out ones life as a slave woman, is something that's certainly on topic here and there's a lot to discover on that topic....

I love that progression that you describe, and in my case, for further clarification, I adore the first two steps. Recognition and terror. Although... that can also apply to slavery itself, and not to extreme punishment! In that case, the end, consummation... is the complete surrender and submission of the slave, for life.

You are also spot-on, in that my interest lies in the experience of slavery, how one copes, how one suffers in visible and invisible ways alike and then... the normalcy of it. Living out my life as a slave woman, as you say.

It's in a way, unfinished but that may not even be a hindrance ... it goes on long enough to learn of the situations and personalities, and then it's like a springboard to jump off of with whatever you'd like to imagine.
