"Ra ra Rasputin,
Lover of the Russian queen
There was a cat that really was gone".......

Thanks a lot, DP, that's going to be stuck in my head all day now.....
Ha ha!

Just in case there's anyone in here that by some miracle doesn't know this song...

Remember that this is just a Youtube link and you don't have to click it :D

A lot of us did things back in the 70’s that we’re not proud of.
But at least living was cheap and simple, then. No climate fuzz, US presidents were serious people, girls in Playboy had a bush, every week there was an airliner crash with 50+ casualties, no one bothered when we bought cigarettes and drunk beer although being under age, Star Wars was still sci-fi and there was a total nuclear war only one push on a button away. Great times, these seventies!:roto2cafe:

I found Gary Trudeau's summation quite on target.

I don't remember that one. Must be one of those songs that didn't cross the Atlantic. It's actually not that bad.

And there was no AIDS. And drugs were cheap - which is one reason I don't remember a lot of it. And, there was no Internet and everyone wasn't walking around with a camera in their pockets. Seriously, as much as I appreciate modern technology, I am so grateful some things weren't around during my high school and college years and the things I did can be forget or denied.

There was a more 'live and let live' mentality, then. Modern technology is great, but neither the state, nor other people were following and patronising you with so called 'smart' applications of modern technology.

Under the heading "Health-" you can sell anything today. So, maybe this ad would be political correct.

We should make sure that Kathy and Barb get to know these latest facts about healthy nutrition :)

I realize I really shouldn’t laugh at such things. :risas3:

You mean I’d be healthier if I swallowed???

Mind you, I have no objections at all if she smiles around the shaft. Rather the reverse. ;)

Studies show it is healthy for both the body and mind:
it's okay if you laugh - but she'd better not, not while she's sucking ...
I don't mind laughing during. Laughing before is a problem. And saying: "Ooh. he's such a cute little thing." is very off putting.
Also. ladies, if you feel a sneeze coming on, take it out of your mouth right away.:eeek:

The Hills Hoist was a backyard regular in most Australian suburban houses of the mid to late 20th century, built to last, could take several children swinging around as well as a load of washing.

I can still remember the sound a golf ball made hitting the shaft.

Vintage Christmas ad here. The mum gets a washing line and basket, dad gets a nice chair :D
