The poll hasn't been written yet. I put forward a draft version asking for suggestions but some people mistook it for a real poll. It will appear in a final version, but not on this thread.
I feel this is the most important thing about this forum , our respect for each other. You don't build a culture by imposing things on people, in my view. We get to know each other, we try to be considerate of each other
I can't see this - only things there are who started the thread and when.Under the thread title on the left is a tag symbol. I've been told that you don't have to be a member to use it. Please try it and if it doesn't work for non admin then let me know.
It seems that only the originator or mods can change the tags. Which is as it should be.
Conversely, consider an analogy.Maybe, it connects rather with such topics, as "anime pictures". I remember that Deviantart had a lot of artists who created sadistic or pornographic works with many popular characters from cartoons and so on. Pictures of anime girls in perils, hanged, shooted etc. is a giant industry. Clearly, fat ladies or barefoot girls can specifically inspire dark fantasies in some people. I think that the main criterion that some materials are appropriate is the feedback. If a post receives likes and comments, it means that it find its audience here! It's hard to imagine that some of visitors of a forum, which topic is dark fantasies, would give likes to any material, if it does not inspire their fantasy...
Thank you. Pretty damn perfect analogy.Conversely, consider an analogy.
You and your mates start a group for single malt scotch. It's small, niche, but slowly gains popularity as people who are into that find you. Turns out, people who like scotch also like bourbon and Irish. This is fine, as they are all whiskys. Then threads start about vodka, rum, and other spirits. It's moving away from the original view but they are all strong spirits, so it's cool. Then you start getting wine and beer threads. This is only tenuously related to the original point, but you're like SUPER inclusive, so you let it slide. Then someone comes in and insists cough syrup has alcohol in it and that everyone needs to get educated and accept that cough syrup is to be considered an alcohol too. Finally, someone opens an extensive thread on a specific flavor of mountain dew, and so a single malt aficionado writes a somewhat snide reply about the lack of connection to the group's purpose. Drama starts.
And that is where CF is right now.
If a thread is judged by how many likes it receives, then we may just give up right now. The more mainstream something is, the more likes it gets. This is known as appealing to the lowest common denominator (aka why Transformers or Marvel films make a billion dollars a pop while a John Wick film struggles to crack the hundred million mark) But this site is not mainstream. To fill it will mainstream content (apparently for the purpose of like farming) is decidedly counterproductive.
I can only tag my own threads. Other threads aren’t giving me the option. Otherwise yeah, that works.Under the thread title on the left is a tag symbol. I've been told that you don't have to be a member to use it. Please try it and if it doesn't work for non admin then let me know.
Well, it's a situation of any alcohol shop. It can add anything to its goods - vodka, beer, mineral water, cough syrup. It can be reasonable, since some clients buy them, in addition to scotch or even instead it. Does such practice threaten the reputation of the shop, as a place where one can buy a good single malt scotch? No, while the providers deliver it! As for the mountain dew - one may attempt to sell it through this shop: the practice will show if there will be a profit from this. Probably, no, as there are many shops of organic food or something similar in the neighbourhood.Conversely, consider an analogy.

Cool, but the anaology was a group not a for-profit shop. If the forum was making money on activity, that would be a different story. Since it doesn't, your reply has absolutely nothing to do with my analogy.Well, it's a situation of any alcohol shop. It can add anything to its goods - vodka, beer, mineral water, cough syrup. "Does such practice threaten the reputation of the shop,..."....Well yes it does. You are unaware of the number of members who have informed me that they are not going to donate to a site which allows avatars which resemble Nazi uniform. I know it isn't but that is not the point. You will also be unaware of the members who have turned on Ignore as far as your posts are concerned.Well, it's a situation of any alcohol shop. Obviously, we have different meaning on what is reputation of the forum. At first sight, the community seemed me rather friendly, but let's see what will happen next."Does such practice threaten the reputation of the shop,..."....Well yes it does. What prevent us to expand the analogy? For example, popularity of the forum may be considered as analogues to money... The key point is a possibility of a self-regulation of the community, the same way as an economic activity. I think it is quite possible, so there is no need in directive regulations, additional definitions of what content is "appropriate" or "inappropriate", etc. (except for the compliance to the forum rules, of course).Cool, but the anaology was a group not a for-profit shop. And yes, the such practices absolutely threaten the reputation (and longevity) of any group that is effected this way. Every. single. time.
Dear members:
I'm starting to get a little tired of this discussion and I think it leads nowhere but fighting with each other. I tell you what I think:
1) I don't know why the problem has focused only on the thread "forgotten women" (mature women, fat?), when there are many more where only images of women are posted ("naked women", "fitness girls", "cowgirls", "nude food", ....etc )
2) I don't see the problem of posting images of women because this forum feeds on them: WOMEN crucified, whipped, tortured, bondage, etc. It is like a tribute to those who make the forum possible. And with a little imagination...
3) I prefer drawings to photos and it is mainly what I post. In addition to forgotten women, I have opened other drawings threads ("ponygirls", "whipping games" ...)
4) Personally I have participated, sometimes commenting and uploading images others, in many threads that I like of this forum ("slavery", "tortured women", "classic whippings", "slave market", "captives", "the art of spanking"...). But I thought that thus contributing to the discussion and exchange of ideas, as well as discovering new topics and images thanks to other members.
5) If the problem is that I post many images, it is simply: let me know and I will try to adapt to the rules. No problem. Keep in mind that I spend daily free time selecting, classifying and posting all those images. I just thought it was helping the forum, I never intended to hijack anything even if I could.
6) Several solutions have already been proposed in this thread, tagging, limiting the posts, .... I hope the problems are solved soon and we continue to respect each other assuming that our tastes may be different but all equally perverse.
Finally to say that I really LIKE THIS FORUM, where there are very good artists and members who make it interesting and exciting for me. I'm just a sensation seeker and I'm learning a lot.
All the best,
Dafnees
I'm simply sticking to facts. If you wish to ignore a thread then simply don't read it. You seem to be becoming increasingly nastier in your comments.Speaking of ignoring --
"A Modest Proposal" - Could we allow members to "ignore" a thread, just as they can "watch" a thread? That way, browsing through Fantasy Unlimited, the threads someone finds silly would not clog up the list.
Also, one wonders how many have ignored you, Melissa? Oh. I forgot. No one is allowed to.
