Poll--Were you raised Catholic?

I

I was raised Catholic in the 60s. There was a somewhat pornographic tinge to the Suffering of the Martyrs. The tale that got my pre-pubescent hard on going was the martyrdom of St. Agnes. She was stripped naked and clapped in prison for her faith, at the age of 12. She was remanded to a brothel, but all the horny young Romans who tried to fuck her were struck blind. You'd think the authorities would take the hint and let her go, but no, they finally got around to cutting off her head.

There was another martyr I remember from reading about the saints as a young boy. She was thrown into prison and among other tortures they cut off her breasts before finally killing her. Don't recall her name but obviously the story stuck with me for 60 years. And the nuns thought I was never listening...

Tearing off breasts is a standard torture in the passiones of virgin martyrs -
Agatha is another well-known example, she's usually portrayed with her boobs on a shiny platter.
Although it became a stereotype, it was probably pretty much what a woman could expect
who fell into the clutches of the Roman tortores.

Here's another St Agatha painting. This one seems a bit wierd (ie ill-conceived) to me, as while she has the obligatory "tray of tits", she still retains a significant cleavage that is clearly visible!

Was the artist just having a bad day?

Did he just miss the point of this?

Also, she appears to have a remarkably calm and demure expression, given that she has her own body parts on a plate in front of her! ;)

I will apologise in advance to all the pious Catholics in here who take all this stuff infinitely more seriously than I do, as I have no wish to mock (to inspire a few manips, perhaps, but never to mock), but these questions need to be asked :)

Now then, time for a bit of Christmas pudding :p

Thanks Eul - I knew you would have the answer to all my questions :)

Of course the pervy part of my character (you know, the 99% bit :p) thinks that those on the tray look remarkable fresh and wonders if they were still warm by the morning :p

Since St Peter has a reputation as a severe misogynist, I wonder why he chose to restore her breasts, but it seems like a nice gesture anyway :)

Maybe he was just following orders from The Man Upstairs, who is undoubtedly much more pervy (if Family Guy is anything to go by anyway LOL) :)

aha, that's why the Roman Church wanted to keep the celibacy

I was a catholic but I gave it up for lent.

Catholic schools, later Jesuit fathers. When as young boy a have seen on eye level the mans high cross in the church I was lost for lifetime in my own crucifixion. I do hang myself every year about 10 times with 60 degree-arms during 20-40 minutes too get the greatest satisfaction.

It should be...

in every town a Crux Shop (or with an euphemistic name) for being organized your wished personal crucifixion. Correspondence before, then contract. Experienced staff, men or women or both. I would offer $100-150 pro session, 1-2 hours, depending of your own wishes, flagellation and hog tied on the cross. Pin on hands and under feet, later nails for a few millimeters in. Of course a women with nursery knowledge. Possibility to rest after with a drink. Taxi to go home.

A room with colors and odor, eventual music.

Never for the commercial sex-industry. Not only homosexuals. Only for a great gap in the market, for us!

Strict order: discretion guarantied.

Saint Agatha. Google her name and a plethora of images emerge.

while shearching for stuff in the attic found this from my younger days when I pretended ot become a priest. I actually stopped using it when I realized (and told my spiritual advisor) that it had the exact opposite effect of making me chaste and pure.
It is funny that many people must pay a lot at sex shops for a very similar device.
(actually they are two of them in a tangled mess)
