Under the Skin
Scarlett Johansson

From a surprising low-budget sci-fi movie (shot in Glasgow)
came young and naked Ms Johansson as an alien...
I kid you not.

An interesting film, I understand that the sequences of her talking to men at night, looking for victims, were largely shot ad lib with real bystanders.
I read the book years before the movie came out. It's much more grim, and less enigmatic, the fate of those men is spelled out quite clearly. The female figure is also very different, strange, unattractive, alien, and deeply unhappy. I was surprised when I heard that Ms Johansson was taking the role, I thought they'd ruin it, but I think it worked, it's just not the book.

If we look at London's Swinging 60s as one big celebration (they were),
it's fair to say that 'The Shrimp' was the prettiest girl at the party.
I've attached a couple of artifacts from the period:

Not sure this is The Shrimp - I'll keep looking for an ID

Which is where I first saw her. With clothes on. Doggone it.

I never have seen the movie "The Wicker Man," But when it first came out my brother did. And afterward described the scene excerpted below in awestruck tones. :babeando:
