I read the nail that was supposed to go between his feet accidentally pierced his skin as the guards crossed his feet on top of each other and he was wriggling, so they had to live at the time of really nailing his feet. So of course his screaming out was real for they actually crucified him up there. Pulling off the nail at the end must have been as painful for him too. Good on him for his acting skills.

Hi Phlebus. Yes i agree with you a fantasy for the actors and very exciting thought wondering what goes through thier and the audiences heads at near naked crucifixions. I see most passion of christ crucifixions are done wih the three wearing long horrible unrealistic bath towels, which completely looses the realistic effect of proper public humiliation. Here this thief crucified in a skimpy loincloth looks the part and plays it out well, dont you think.
