A story in the book "Darwin's Dreampond" by a Dutch fish biologist studying the great lakes in East Africa offers a way to find out. He is staying at a resort on one of the lakes for a conference.I Don`t really fancy being a crocodiles dinner
but the rolling to make it`s dinner immobile
would be quite thrilling
I got up early to go down and look for fish. A porter was sweeping huge tracks off the beach with a broom, and smiled as I approached.
"Crocodiles?" "I'm removing the traces. Otherwise, the guests would think there are crocodiles here." "Evidently correctly." "There used to be many more. Now there is only one. Her name is Zaszi. She's OK."
The book is old, but if Zaszi is still around she might be amenable to helping with crocodile fetishes.
