It's that time again, that we remember the victims of 911, 13 years ago now.
We particularly remember Taryn, known to many of us from the old Crux days, and to others from the pictures and tributes that can be found on this site and on the Foundation.
She was great fun, a great inspiration, and a great loss.

Yes we should remember the victims. I cannot believe it has been 13 years since 911, and now there is a new threat, ISIS. Security levels have been raised in England and elsewhere.

I hvnt meet her but I know her. I feel close to her wzout knowing why. I feel she is like me in some cases. We all hv to go that way one day. But some of us may disappear wzout letting know. I wish at least someone to know if I'm gone too.

Wish Taryn is living in better life now

Hi Connie

This girl, Taryn is a victim of September 11th?

Top-Cat

She was in Windows on the World, at the top of the North tower of the World Trade Center that day . . . she was a member of the old Crux group on Yahoo, which was mother to this group and to the Crux Foundation, and so known to those of us who were around then.

She remains ever young in our memory, as we grow old

Many thanks for the clarification, Phlebas.

My feelings for the loss of your friend.

Forever Young, Taryn.

This seems to be very good.

I do not know, now I'll try to translate.

I'll send you the words... but not tonight... It's a nice song (my opinion) but don't put that much work into it...

Tree

...opps

here they are...

Oh if my wheel could take another turn
And if my life replaced itself again,
I wouldn't want a single thing to change.
Oh it's been good, though it's been strange.

And if my dreams were willing to come true,
Oh I would not even try to let them through.
I'm sure there's things I've missed, that others preached.
The goals they reached, they weren't for me.

Rest in peace,
Even though the worries seem to mount,
Don't let them count.
Rest in peace.

Throw all those smiles and paper miles away.
You make willow pattern pictures through the rain.
And swallow when your heart begins to breathe,
Just like a bird, do what it please.

'Cause I ain't gonna be here all that long
And when I'm old I want to know I sung.
If there's a road ahead, I'll jump right in.
Just got to win, this is my hymn.

Rest in peace,
Even though your worries seem to mount,
Don't let them count.

Rest in peace.

Rest in peace.

Another year, another day to remember those we lost.
It is the evening of Sept 11 here in Oz, and I think it must be morning over there in Europe now, not yet in the USA.

I pause every year to remember Taryn, who will always remain a young and vibrant woman in my heart. She will not grow old as we grow old. Some of us carry her always inside us.

If you are new here, pop over and visit the Taryn tribute page. She was an active member of the old Crux group, and was in one of the Twin Towers on that day. That's all I will say.
