These are two great pictures alright. The second one is absolutely beautiful.
The first is amazing. I don't know if this is from Folsom Street, I assume it is, but the banality, the ordinariness of the crowd in the background transforms this pic. This is an image of a possible future, an image of a time when corporal punishment may once again be carried out in full public view, in front of a crowd of ordinary citizens. Remarkable.
Pretty sure that is Folsom.
So my "traffic violation Saturday" story could come true someday?
