The novel is the same, "Prisionera".
But believe me, it is an American production.
It was produced by the American channel Telemundo, based in Hialeah, Florida (Begun in San Juan, Puerto Rico by Angel Ramos in 1954, it is the second largest producer of Spanish language containing productions worldwide. It is also the second largest channel cable TV in Spanish in the United States, along with Univision. Telemundo is the only cable channel production of telenovelas in the United States.
