As part of my ACL replacement rehab they strapped my leg tp a bench and put blocks under my heels. The purpose is to stretch out the new ligament.

It hurts a lot but when you put too many blocks underneath it REALLY hurts a lot. I found that out when I decided to see how far I could go in rushing my rehab. Lasted about 3 minutes before I had them pull one of the blocks out.
