Not if you go through sideways.
Common sense really, but not always as common as we would expect (remember Charlize Theron in Prometheus who never thought to run sideways to get away from the crashing spaceship instead of subscribing to the Scooby Doo school of running away in a straight line and unsurprisingly getting squished :) )

As well as a crew of scientists making really stupid decisions.

Some guys come up with really crazy pickup lines … bad enough to make one’s eyes roll … I thought I’d heard them all … but that one would be a first!

No wait … I’ve just been informed @thehangingtree uses it all the time.
I think one pickup line worth trying would be, "I'd sure like to get to 5th base with you!"
Just the reaction when they figure out what 5th base is....

She probably  was Xena's Lesbian slave....there was so much dyke undertones during the series'.
Loads of girly lurve. Lol

Lawless never admitted to even being bi-sexual but in an interview she did say they realized early on that there was a substantial audience of bi\lesbian women looking for a "fantasy" series to follow (most of them being oriented towards a male audience) and so they started to play the angle up quite a bit mostly with innuendo. They had already nailed the female fantasy audience by having a strong, yet sexy, female lead.

Also did you notice how Gabrielle started the series rather "soft" and by the end of it had quite a lot of muscle tone? That was another kink the producers realized that no primetime TV show was catering to.

And while the acting was mediocre (at best) they did a brilliant job of marketing to a variety of audiences and it helped that MOST of the women were gorgeous and dressed rather skimpily (for the boys). (And I admit to having a crush on Lucy Lawless even though I was only 15 when it started.)

Also the lightheartedness at times.

Recent pic. Still a gorgeous pair. View attachment 1323166
Oh they are, aren’t they?

Rene O’Connor remains the cuter one, by a long shot. Lucy looks great but Rene’s my favourite of the pair by far, must be the subby lesbian vibe she gave off. Yes, I’m as much attracted to her sexually as I want to actually be her, and be an even more submissive slave to Xena’s power…

I couldn’t agree more! She is adorable.
