Yes, we've got one near Dumfries. The publicity says it's a lovely peaceful spot, with the singing of birds, a view of the distant hills, and only 15 minutes from the centre of Dumfries. So if I get bored with the birds and the view, I can pop into town! :D

One week from tomorrow (Aug 22) it will ten years since my father died. Although much was preplanned and paid for years earlier, there was still a lot to go through and expenses to be handled. Even honest funeral homes still will take advantage of people at a time when they are vulnerable. In some ways, a funeral home is like a car dealership, trying to push you to take the more expensive options and add on extras.

Very much the same sentiment on keeping it simple.
When taking care of my Mother’s cremation, there was a wait over the weekend and also waiting for the Urn to arrive.
My father was having none of the wait after over 60 years of marriage and wanted her back now.
So, he went down to the funeral home and had them take to display Urn off the shelf and brought her home.
While there he made his arrangements, short and sweet.
Don’t fuck around with an old Marine.
I’d like to be launched into deep space. The closest thing on existing forever…or a really loooong time.

Due to age-related problems with my "waterworks"( I'm 62,for a start) I will need to have a few scans to check my Prostate,and so on...starting this week. An MRI scan.

One of the preconditions is, that I can't do
anything sexual for several days, and that includes Cruxy shit. ("Oh,Bugger !!")

Ever since my childhood,I've always felt rather uneasy around hypodermic syringes especially in my arms. The mere thought of them makes me blanch.!! :roto2gay::boaa:
Apparently I need to have a cannula fitted to administer various drugs. ("Great (!!)")
To be honest I'll be fucking glad when it's done with...!!

I will keep you posted.....where possible.
Plus I have no Laptop,so  if my pictures survive the maintenance required you wont see any new "nawty" pics for a while :(

We always hope, such issues are not as bad as they sound! So, good luck with the check, Baracus.

And honestly, that syringe and canula stuff always gave me the creeps too! But don't worry, my experience since is, that it is not as bad either! I have the impression that these needles have become more 'patient friendly'. Just a brief nasty sting (but they used to be nastier in the past), and that's all. The only thing you then have to do to put away the uneasy thought that there is a needle in your arm! Removal is painless.

I'm wishing you a good outcome from your scans.

As someone who's had more than my share of needles, I can sympathize with your unease about them. I'm ex-military and I got over my fear of needles during those years, but that said you never really look forward to getting one.

For me, it's better if I don't watch it going in. But I've heard others say the opposite, so little advice to give on that.

I'm in the middle of switching my ISP and things haven't gone according to plan, with the result that I will most likely lose my internet service in the next couple of days. At the moment there is no firm date for my new service to go live, but it may be anything from a few days to a couple of weeks. I'll try to pop in here using mobile data if possible but the high cost and crap performance means that it's going to be a grim experience so hopefully they'll get everything up and running very soon...

UPDATE 2 :
You'll be pleased (or dreaded) to hear that my sick Laptop is back. All fixed with no loss of data. "Whew !!" Lol.
( must get a USB or two....!!)

Also,due to being messed about,by a so-called "lady friend" my mental state isn't in a good place. :(
So I'm taking a brief sojurn from photoshooting until I get my mojo back....

Well, this is the one thread that no one wants to see bumped, but here it is: I have a bad case of COVID and will be out of it for a while. (And I got all my shots, like a good puppy!)

At least the vomiting, fever, diarrhea, fainting, congestion, etc. are about over. Thank you, Paxlovid! My souvenir is a bad bump on my forehead where it greeted the hardwood floor.

Hope to be back soon...
