That morning, three days before, the senator appeared in his bed with throat cut, dead. As was tradition, his slaves were crucified but before they were interrogated and tortured with whips and red hot tongs to make them confess their crime. As they could not confess anything, the girls were tortured also on the rack but without result. Finally the judge ordered them to be crucified at the city gate and as the crime had been horrible, the slave girls did not have their legs broken, thus denying them the grace of a quicker death. In fact that was the third day that they hung from their crosses in unbearable agony. The guards had just retired for the vultures to finish their work.

In reality, the girls were innocent, the rich man had been assassinated by Marco, a peasant who envied that old senator who enjoyed his beautiful slaves every night.

- Ha ha he told seeing the girls were still alive. Soon you will again enjoy the senator's cock in Hades. The vultures will see that you join him soon. Ha, ha.

It is a known story that crows are the oldest inhabitants of the Tower of London

Considering that the tower was a place where many people were executed for centuries, we can assume that the crows used to go there because they are voracious scavengers.

Seeing the sharp peaks of the crows we imagine that these animals would finish the executioner's work on the victims still alive.
They are not crows they are Ravens. The story is not that they are the oldest thing in the tower but that the Tower shall fall if the Ravens leave the grounds...;)
