Bamboo torture: After a long night of torments, those viscous VC women resort to their favorite torture, the bamboo.
This will be a slow and agonizing death for the prisoner.

This is a great picture Scott. I picture the scene of vengeful villagers getting their just revenge. The handsome GI is stripped naked and tortured and finally put to a slow and painful death by bamboo impalement. According to some Viet vets I know this actually happened. The bamboo sometime carefully aimed at the prisoner's ass so the impalement prolonged, the pointed stick growing from the prostrate all the way up to the sternum. The execution could last hours, much to the enjoyment of the sadistic Cong.

Another great one Scott and historically correct. I corresponded with someone who was a Viet vet, and was shot down over Cambodia. Those bamboo spikes were often used in snare traps designed like this; hidden by a grassy covering so the soldiers stepped into them. Jungle warfare was perhaps the worst of nightmare, not only because of these murderous traps, but the hidden enemy knowing the terrain very well. It was not man to man contact but pounce and kill. Aside from the traps another favorite method was to stake the prisoners upright and naked over the growing bamboo stalks aimed at the genitals and ass hole. The prisoners were staked at a slight angle so the bamboo would impale very slowly, higher and higher up to the sternum, arteries and vital organs avoided to ensure a slow death. The murderous bamboo cut at different heights, so the prisoners could watch each other scream and slowly die, get a preview of their own fates.

Maybe this is slightly off the topic of crucifixion but has similarities in being a lengthy process. Yes, Brad would look great on bamboo with that great ass and ample cock and balls. Here are a few other young GIs I envision.

Not to get off topic from crucifixion, though I imagine similar methods were used on POW's as the VC were very anti-Christian; perhaps retaliatory to the Diem's government (whose family were devout Catholics). This was war, so the VC had to get creative with their tactics. Remember, the Vietnamese had to fight against much stronger enemies throughout their history, including China and the might Mongols, and they would not win wars if they faced their enemies on the battlefields.

Random thought from slide 53 for those interested in commenting. Do you supposed guys being crucified looked at their wrist as the nail was about to be driven in? Or do most look away, knowing what is to come and unable to do anything about it.

My thought is I think I would probably look at the first wrist as it was about to be nailed. Once the hammer stuck its first blow I figure I'd be in such agony I wouldn't be looking at anything in particular.

I especially like the 2nd pictures, The poor soldier held captive by the Chinese officer in full uniform. there is something about vulnerable naked flesh paired with the uniform of repressive rule.
