No I did'nt made them frame by frame : original files were .avi and I found a very good soft to convert them as gifs : Virtualdub.

Long story short, I found the Bartnel series somewhere else, in two parts, under the title 'Crucifixion Inferno'. Followed the breadcrumbs back here, and stitched-together the supercut. Also I slowed-down the frame-rate by half & pitch-corrected the 'dialogue' to double the fun.
