These two pictures show the good and the bad in rack scenes for me. Visually good because they both look like they could have been taken if cameras were a thing back then. But only the 2nd one looks real. When I look at the 1st one I can't get past the weird ropes and the number one mistake of a rack scene, the arms and legs not being completely straight. When I look at the 1st one I think porno but when I look at the 2nd I think a few hundred years ago that could have been me.

Unfortunately that's all too common in commercial and amateur rack scenes. A total scene spoiler to me.
That's why artwork appeals to me... no such limitations.

That's a good picture but it's hard to beat real humans doing a rack scene imo. It's something about seeing a real woman being stretched by real men in a medieval setting that makes it so easy for me to connect with it and swap places with her, if that makes sense?
