I don't know her (have come to cf only now)
but I wish her all the best, these times we all immediately think of ..
but, no, there are the flues as they had always been
and has always been shaken off!
Rias was an American broadcast in Berlin after WW2 and Berliners were tough,
they even survived the Soviets locking up the city, for like nine months the entire
three Western parts of the city were supported by air chain - die Luftbrücke - until
giving up were .. the Russians, not the Berliners!
I dearly hope you will come back as Berlin had come back in 1949, I want to read
new posts of yours, too.

So our Rias has nothing to do with the American radio station. However, we could also hear this station in Thuringia. I still remember the melody and then the announcement: "Here is Rias Berlin, a free voice of the free world"( Hier ist Rias Berlin, eine freie Stimme der freien Welt)
