"So, shut your mouth up, spread your legs and die in shame, you worthless whore! A citizen daughter, ha, ha, ha! Now you are no more than a piece of meat destined to rot on the wood of shame, d'you understand?"
 
Iulia, 30, a plebeian woman, caught in act of counting gold coins, which origin she couldn't explain (or at least the judge decided so). A month ago one of the richest men in the city had been robbed and the thief was never revealed, so the judge decided she could play a role of the robber (there was no slightest evidence but the judge decided he didn't need one - she's only a poor and unimportant woman).

Emily, 39, a wife of the defeated (killed in action) mutineer. She had nothing in common with the revolt (she was arrested as a hostage and the reason was "a prevention of the crime" i.e. to prevent her husband from joining the rebellion, and she was arrested few weeks before he finally joined the rebellion). Anyway, she paid for her husband crimes with her body, being slaughtered on the cross.

Few unfortunate girls, used as guinea pigs to test the advantages and disadvantages of being crucified with legs nailed on either side of the pole (option 1) or twisted at the hips with both knees pointing to one side and the feet nailed to the front of the pole (option 2). Here you can see a pack of these creatures, nailed one by one according to both methods alternately. And which one is your favorite?
