The forgotten women thread

This is Tom Sargent, from his modern illustrations to the 1908 novel "The Way Of A Man With A Maid" (which is online in full at Wikisource) -- these are from the final episode, summarised by Wikipedia as:

By the final episode, when the wealthy Lady Betty and her daughter Molly had been lured into the rape room, Jack need not exert himself to tie up and undress the new victims. All the dirty work is being performed eagerly by his earlier victims-turned-accomplices. Thereupon, mother and daughter are not only subjected to repeated rape, but also forced into a long series of incestuous acts with each other, carried out to inflict the maximum of humiliation and degradation upon mother and daughter, and accompanied by endless gloating and taunting from Jack and his three female accomplices.

As an aside to this old post of mine, I have just come across the 1975 adaptation of "The Way Of A Man With A Maid", released under the title "The Naughty Victorians" -- this counted as "hardcore" in the day as we do get explict sex scenes. This was released at a time when porn movies were reviewed by mainstream movie critics, which got us this review by Roger Ebert -- he doesn't like it much, but came up with the timeless quote "I don't want to be too hard on Mr. Hugh Hefner, who is quoted in the ads for "The Naughty Victorians" as saying: "I consider it the best, most professionally executed erotic film produced today." For all we know, he may have been referring to a specific day - Nov. 2, 1975, for example. That was a fairly slow day for erotic pictures." I think it's rather better than that -- the production values are way above anything a porn movie could possibly have today and the acting is surprisingly decent. The lead actress is a close look-alike and act-alike to Elisabeth Moss (who has not, to my knowledge, shot any hardcore porn and in any case was only born seven years later). There is a certain repetitiveness to the plot and it feels rather stagebound as it all takes place in a single room, but that was already the case in the original source novel (plus it was the movie debut by Chicago theatre director Robert Sickinger, a fact conveniently omitted from his Wikipedia entry). Having read the book, this feels rather authentic in mood and style (don't expect anything violent despite the rape and bondage theme), except for the added twist ending.

Poor quality and unwatchable VHS rips have been on the porn streaming sites for years, but a rip of the full-length blu-ray transfer, in 720p and stunning remastered quality, has just been uploaded here (not by me, I hasten to add):

As this is a currently-available commercial Blu-Ray release, it may not stay up very long. The scene with the mother-and-daughter rape, as depicted in the Tom Sargent drawings uploaded in my earlier post, starts at 54:25 minutes.
