Is there a special reason why dismemberment art should not be posted?
one of the rules...
The subject matter of our Forums entails portrayals of cruelty and violence, and the range of acceptable content is wide. However, we are not, and do not intend to become, an "open house" site for all kinds of hard-core sadistic pornography.
Examples of content that is not wanted and will not be allowed include:

portrayals that focus excessively on mutilation or dismemberment (body parts being, or having been, cut or ripped off)
portrayals or discussion of cannibalism,
photos or videos of real people dying or dead.

How would you tie them up without members?
(the rules of the forum prohibit it, as mentioned above -and personally, dismemberment is absolutely not by taste).

On similar sites, members, or the site itself has got judicial trouble with such 'gore' content, because people, accidentally logging in, failed to distinguish between reality and fantasy. A famous case is the so called 'Cannibal Cop' trial, some 10 years ago. To my opinion (and I personally support that policy), it is a protection against our forums getting undesired public attention.

First of all I must say that I don't like dismemberment art either. I find it a bit off-putting for my liking.

However, I think the same of some images that are posted on the forum that seem to me more "gore content" than a simple image of a dismembered body.
Is crucifying someone on a cross or whipping someone to death less cruel or violent than dismembering them? A thorny question that does not have a clear answer and that would lead to much discussion (in another thread). Finally, anyone in this forum (not only "gore ones") who does not know how to distinguish between fantasy and reality is likely to have judicial troubles.

However, I assume that the rules are the rules and you have to follow them. I will do it too.
Thanks mates, I didn't mean to create controversy. I love this forum and that's why I would like to understand it better.

Feel free to report anything else that you feel breaches the rules, and yes, there have been lots of discussions on this subject! :)

There is of course an issue of paradoxes. We have pics and threads on beheading, which theoretically falls under the prohibited stuff (pictures of cut off body parts). Apparently, beheading is perceived as 'clean' (because it is a quick death, while dismembering affects still living people?).
On the other hand, crucified have their body intact (apart from a few minor holes), but the kink is perceived by many outsiders as violent and gore, while these 'many outsiders' do not bother that crucifixes with a nearly naked man nailed to a cross are omnipresent along the roads and in public buildings, classrooms, courts, etc...
