Well here we are then 
After being kicked of Yahoo twice in a relative short time it was time to change.
While Google groups was and still is a good lifeboat, it does not have that much of functionality.
For the moment there's only one real drawback I can see, this is not a real email list anymore. That's why I will not abandon the google group just yet.
I like to thank Makar and Imagemaker for the servespace and the setup.
I would also like to thank Hufkens for bringing up the idea.
