The Rat Patrol??????

Really??????

Dad someone else watched it too!

It is worse than that, Siss. Congress is launching an investigation to find if Tree is your dad...:eek::eek:

Remember... the accusation is more important than the facts!!!:mad::mad:

It would need to be a pretty long branch of service ... One way or an other!

:p

As long as your nails are trimmed ... You may have a chance but don't count on it!

:)

Like the Eagles... If they start fast and steady... They could get a things going!

Over wise ... There's nothing happening!

:confused::eek::rolleyes::p;):devil::doh:

Drat!

Drat!

And double drat!

Still, there's always the epilogue...

In the late 1800’s pulp novels that were precursors to comic books were quite popular but while most of the characters were based on real people but the stories rarely relied on facts. As an example if you were to read them you would think Jesse James and his gang robbed every bank west of the Mississippi and murdered thousands. He didn’t do either but facts can’t get in the way.

So it should be no surprise that when the pulp novel that covered the story of ’Barb in the old West’ there were a few… um… inaccuracies. First, the story said Tree and his sidekick Bull dragged Barbara and her partner Siss from their ‘establishment’. With Barb’s wrists tied behind her back and a noose about her neck she watched Bull gun down Siss in cold blood before Tree led her out of town to lynch Barb.

Of course Siss wasn’t even there. Barb was led out to the edge of town by Tree to be hanged.

ht 062.jpg

We already know that Barb was brought naked to gallows after her fair and just trial before Judge Admi.

When she arrived at the hanging tree The Hanging Tree stripped her dress off, tossed her in his saddle and tossed the rope over a limb.

ht 063.jpg

Again, Tree had nothing to do with Barb being hanged yet the pulp novel depicted Tree slowly and cruel leading his horse forward until the rope started to pull her from the saddle!

ht 064.jpg

The novel claimed Barb gave one last shriek as her burns were dragged over the back of the saddle.

ht 065.jpg

She supposedly kicked and thrashed quite a while as the noose slowly closed around her neck…
ht 066.jpg

…until almost a half hour later she would lose her battle with the noose…

But we already know Tree saved Barb from the gallows. So what happened after that???

What really happened was, after getting over her initial anger at Tree for letting her hang at all, she accepted Tree’s proposal of marriage. RR would be the photographer and he and the chronicler Wragg covered the gala event. Here is the picture of Barb and her Maid of Honor Siss and her other brides maids.

The women helped Barbara dress for her wedding.

The famed Justice of the Peace Admi officiated over the wedding. This was not a happy choice for Tree’s bride as he was the bastard that sentenced her to hang. The reception was a wild affair as Tree’s cousins from northwest Arkansas got a bit rowdy.

But you have to admit Barb’s and Tree’s picture as they left for their honeymoon is pretty cute.

Even Tree will admit the post-nuptials were a bit unorthodox…

And he bought her IRONS FOR HER NECK, WRISTS, AND ANKLES fine jewelry for a wedding present…

Tree

…and that is what really happened. Tree and Barbara would have many descendants. One would be the evil Professor Moore of the University of the Virgin Martyrs. Another would be the ever-victim Barbaria. And on the male side Tree would become the proprietor of THT, Inc. and the owner of the Tree estate and curator of the Hill of 100 Crosses™.
