Yeah, really a shame that this movie, "Jesus of Montreal", is still not out there on Blu-Ray.
Every crap from the 80ies comes out but this great movie does not. I dont get it. Regarding (famous) movies with crucifixion scenes there are until now only a few ones, the oldie "King of Kings", the Gibson-crap, the new "Risen", the old "Jesus of Nazareth" series from 1978, Scorseses "Last Temptation of Christ" and the "Jesus" movie from 1979, which I do NOT recommend due to the re-dubbing which removed the screams from the crucifixion scene making it far less effective in my opinion, the 720p version on youtube with the old dubbing is IMHO better.

It would be really time that a few more may come out in 2018 to add to our hi-res collection, wouldnt it?

My New Years Day crucifixion was a different experience. I gave up the struggle and surrendered to the cross. Hanging there for about 45 minutes I went into almost a trance and didn't come out of it until MASTER raised my chin and shook my head. I was at peace.
 
That Dayar Sagar film extract is rather good, pity the quality of resolution is so bad though. Some quite interesting things added, walking with bare feet over thorns whilst carrying the cross was a good one, as was pushing Jesus so he rolled down the rocky slope. That would have been extra cruel if he had been naked, the laughing whilst ripping his garments off was also good. Shame about the emulsion paint blood though & the wobbly nails! But I had never seen that one before, thanks JR.
