But the duration of the nailing process is longer when the feet are nailed separately.
More intense when they are nailed together as the iron nail aligns their feet as they never were meant to be!!!

Nailing choice
If you were being crucified for real and given the option of how to have your feet nailed what would you choose? Right over left, left over right? Individually nailed? Nailed through the heel. Or legs behind the upright and nailed through your soles? Also would you choose a step or not?

Personally I fantasize about multiple (mostly two nails, one through the center of each foot, and sometimes to the sides of the stipes through the ankles) but in the end would go for one nail through both feet, right over left, because this is how it is most frequently depicted in art. I think it would be easier to lift myself up with one nail per foot, and the shared nail offers less support and more pain. It also forces the legs to open because the feet are crossed, adding to the humiliation of exposing my sex obscenely. If I’m going to go through the ordeal, I would want it done in the most painful way.

In my fantasy, I would choose to have both feet pierced together on a support at an angle of about 45 degrees with one nail (left foot on right foot).
Um... if I was to be crucified, I don't think I'd be given such choices. I obviously didn't choose this event and have no control over how I am 'done'.

One would expect only one nail to be cheaper, but the feet must probably be separated to expose the crucified, if it is intended. It depends on the cultural environment. I do not know if as example the Romans consider the position of a vagina or an asshole as obscene or shameful as we do and as can be seen here....
