I was just idly surfing through the prehistoric Eurovision stuff on YouTube,
feeling mildly cynical and superior about the silliness of it all,
I clicked on that one, and as her voice came in I nearly jumped out of my chair,
it just sent a thrill right through me - straordinario davvero!
The recording is from the audiotape (from radio) of the original Eurovision performance,
the images from all that survives - a few clips of her repeating the song after she'd won
(would there have been videotape? or just a cinecamera pointing at a tv screen?)
