While I enjoy the series that is the rape of the barbarian queen and other renders where a woman is raped during her crucifixion, it's difficult for me to imagine this being the norm. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure this happened. As logistically difficult as it may have been, no doubt soldiers and others would organize a ladder and their friends to take turns holding up the ladder so they could in turn, sexually abuse those women in the midst of their crucifixion. Yes, that could be a thing. But IMO, most of the rape associated with the women who were the victims of crucifixion, would have occurred between the time their sentence was passed and the actual marching out to the area where their execution would take place.

I simply cannot expect that Biggus Dickus and his friends would all wait until the actual crucifixion to rape the woman in question. They'd go to her cell where she was awaiting her fate and they would have an orgy with her; perhaps with several of the similarly situated women. There are just too many different positions you want to include in your forced sex events that would preclude their being nailed up on a cross to achieve such a result.

Naturally, I do enjoy the renders where they're being raped during their crucifixion, so by all means keep on portraying it that way.
