I believe that the charm of the setting in the world of pirates is given by a series of aspects: first of all the disproportion between the relations of force and number between the victims and the perpetrators, between their cultural and social level, given that the captured prey they are generally young women of good or noble family in the hands of brute cutthroats, and finally of the logistic aspect, which makes even the use of force or the necessity to tie the victim superfluous: the prisoner is lost in the middle of the sea, between cruel men who have not seen a woman for months, cannot hide, cannot escape, cannot oppose: she must necessarily do all that she is ordered, like it or not, and accept to go down every step of a moral degradation that she did not have perhaps never imagined it existed.
