Forgive me, Father... but I don't suppose there's a convent on this island as well, is there? :eusa_whistle:
They went there to flee away from the devilish temptations of the female sex

Would you believe, right up near the top, needing some serious rock-climbing skills to get to it, there's a hermitage for a monk who wanted to get away from them getting away from it all!

There are also some slightly older houses that just need a few minor repairs (the houses, not the girls).
Skellig Michael - desirable homes on stunningly beautiful island off the Atlantic coast of Ireland - desirable that is if you happen to be a medieval monk!

Here's the island:

Unfortunately a prototype was destroyed in a promotional flight with other fighter jets, resulting in one pilot's death and cancellation of the program.
Two people were killed in the accident (8th June 1966) : the co-pilot of the prototype, and the pilot of the F-104 that struck it, after nearing too close and getting uncontralable by the bomber's vortex..

The man reason the program was canceled, were the alredy high costs of the development, and the fact that the aircraft's mission profile, strategic nuclear attacks, could be easier carried out by ICBM's.

The B-70 was to replace the B-52 and the B-58. The B-58 was in service ten years (1960-1970). The B-70 never went into production while the B-52 is being upgraded to continue service till the 2060s... it will be over a hundred years it will be in service...
Most aircraft have a projected life expectancy for the airframe. It would interesting to know what the Boeing engineers thought the B-52's would be. I'll bet it wasn't anywhere near 108 years (2060), or even 72 years (2024).

Inch Abbey, near Downpatrick on the softer, east side of (Northern) Ireland, just across the water from Eul. Apparently featured in Game of Thrones.
