Real Ancient Crucifixion And Erotism, It Is Possible?

Extreme stress can trigger an orgasm in a non erotic context. It will most likely not be experienced as 'erotic' by the struggling condemned. It would rather add to the humiliation.

Nevertheless, I sometimes think that some Christian martyrs lived their deep believes partly with an erotic component, and so they experienced their martyrdom in a delirious, partly erotic state of mind.

Perhaps, certain emotions and states of mind, including erotic-like sensations, have the powers to help the body fight paint or to lower its intensity.

never ever. pure pain and distress, and death at the end. even if we admit that eros and thanatos are the principal movers for mankind, being executed is for sure not erotic.

I don't dare to say anything about spectators.....
 
Erotic sensations depend on a pretty healthy metabolism - blood pressure, hormones etc.
I think some (earlier) stages in the process might be experienced as erotic,
humiliation, stripping, scourging, even nailing and beginning the dance on the cross,
at least by a masochist like me, or maybe one with ideas of meeting a 'divine lover',
but death by prolonged, gradual debilitation could hardly be sexually arousing.

it's an interesting sci-fi scenario, where a girl on a cross is on some kind of drip feed
that keeps her strength up and all her juices flowing so she's in a constantly horny state,
helplessly orgasmic, for hours and hours, day after day....

If it's just being dragged off to a 'end of the Spartacus rebellion' style mass execution and getting casually massacred ... don't know
But if you've been through the dungeons, expert tortures by an expert torturer - getting broken down, repeatedly, getting put together again, like he wishes, till he's the entire world, he's all that's there, he blots out everything else ... and then one day it's up from the dark and damp, out into the sun, eyes unbelieving, up that hill to the cross... well that will be climax, for sure?
 
I've read stories of victims of torture for whom the pain became so extreme that it passed some point where they perceived it as pleasure, and begged for more. I don't know if there's any substance to that or if it's just a myth. In Ian Flemming's "Casino Royale" - the book, not the movie - James Bond was relying on this effect to be able to endure having his balls beaten with a rug beater while not giving up whatever the information was that the bad guy wanted.

If it's possible for agony to become so intense that it becomes pleasurable instead, then crucifixion is certainly one way that could result. Maybe it did in rare cases, where the victim just happened to be wired in such a way that the pain, humiliation, nudity, all combined to result in an erotic response that might have been beyond her control. Probably most of the time that didn't happen.
