The forums have been having a number of odd technical problems. We are aware of the issues and the site owner is also aware. Parts of this problem may be related to recent financing issues, as well as bandwidth problems that originate at the servers. We will continue to work to sort these issues out. In the meantime, please know that you are not alone and that we are all living with this.

I've tried keeping 2 metres from the screen and wearing a gag, but it doesn't help :p
I'm about at the stage where I shall sacrifice a chicken and smear the blood thereof upon the frame of my monitor. I'll let you know how that goes. :facepalm:

Do I detect a sense of desperation setting in?

Only those times when I hit "reply" or "quote" and it opens a moderator maintenance page asking me if I want to change the title or some other formatting of the thread. This actually happens (I suspect non-staff don't get this particular problem).:grazy:

At least that hasn’t happened to me .... yet!

Yes, I've had that happen sometimes. It did last night. I take it as a hint to pack it in for the night

Well a thing I have is when I click 'Like' is I get transferred to a separate screen that asks me to confirm whether I want to carry out the operation "Like" and then I will be allowed to return to the original screen.
Similar things sometimes happen uploading images - a separate screen opens and you can upload ony one image at a time and then have to return to the post you're composing and reload it to see the attachment.

The reply box is often blank and can't be typed in until after several page reloads.

What is probably happening in those situations, is that just like images sometimes don't transfer, a piece of Javascript from the Xenforo framework is missing. And so instead of using snazzy inline XHR requests the system has to fall back on separate screens for each interaction. (This is actually good because it means there is a 'graceful degradation' implementation in the framework, when things go wrong it doesn't just collapse into a heap of ash but instead delivers reduced but still bare-bones sufficient functionality)
