The Beauty Of Wooden Pony

Probably because I am a bit of a prevented vampire with extreme blood phobia and only a few relatives left in Transsylvania, most pictures here are usually too small, too dark or too bloody for me, but I do my very best to change them (and me) because I am always interested in some (certainly only artistic !) details:

As a vampire with an extreme blood phobia, you are truly to be pitied. Can you then refuse to eat artificially produced blood substitutes or fitness shakes?
And here's another picture without blood (is that you in the background?)663_1000.jpg

Don't get me started about my problems with blood! (And no: It is not me in the background. I would wear much nicer fashion as an executioner!) As introduction to my life as hotel vampire and "Night Auditor", I tried our German "Blutwurst" (= "blood sausage") in our hotel kitchen and it tasted really good for me, but it soon resulted in constipation. I am so terribly sensitive like the princess in Hans Christian Andersen's fairy-tale "The Princess and the Pea"!
One of my girlfriends - although I was close before to make her immortal (!) - left me because she was of the opinion that I am the most sensitive male vampire she ever met.
I can often really feel a thunderstorm coming by a sudden headache about three hours before the lightnings are to be seen - must be the rising electricity in the environment , I think.
And finally, to be honest, I think, Hypochondria, Ebola and Covid-19 are the only diseases I did never have until now.
All other vampires who I know, are now tired of my whining and so, I tried to help myself by ...
a) inventing a new method to artificially ventilating myself.
b) finding a car rental for my own personal ambulance car if I need one.
c) setting up an operating room in my apartment for myself if I need one.
d) creating most impressive bandages by myself.

As a vampire with blood phobia, on the one hand, I would have preferred to live in the Middle Ages because it was so very nice and human to get into an aggressive mood and close to your enemy before you killed him. Do you remember that funny scene in the "Indiana Jones" - movie with the Arabian "sword swinger" and his impressive sword until Indiana Jones took out his revolver? This was an unhappy clash of different time ages in the development of weapons and I would always prefer a revolver instead of a sword - not only because it is useful in a distance but also because it causes less blood losses before the enemy is dead.

On the other hand, some punishments in the Middle Ages were really useful and I do not really understand why there is so much hate against violence in our times. ;):facepalm:
Only imagine, someone would have beaten up in the right time this fat child Kim Jong-un on his hereditary communist dynasty throne (a contradiction in terms, I know) in North Korea, the nation there would probably have lived more happily ever after.

And so I can only cling to the nice punishments of the Middle Ages in traced photos although I am always wondering about those strange helmets and what they were really good for.

Could anyone tell me more about such a helmet and its purpose? How and when was something like this one used - and for what exactly?

in fact it is an iron mask, it often represented the face of a demon, of a devil, and in principle it was used outside, I think for the exhibition of the witch or for her journey up to 'at the prison, some were equipped with an interior metal part that immobilized the tongue (the witch should not say anything during her exhibition or her journey) I have never read, however, that it was used during torture but it is possible

OK, thank you, but what could have been the purpose of this long "nose" or "tongue" in the 3 pictures before, which also looks in one of them like a long "spoon"?
I don't really know, maybe as I told you a system to immobilize the tongue when the witch was in public or in the pillory, she absolutely must not speak to people, she must not scream her innocence, then obtained his confession under torture and then his tongue was torn out, he would have to do a search on the net

One thing it certainly did was subdue the loud protestations of the female rider, lowering the volume of her cursing, the obviously false claims of innocence. I believe it was nicknamed the Mohr/Moore mask
