Yes that is the Coat of Arms of the Isle of Man. Since they are not part of the United Kingdom, motorcycle racing is allowed there and if you have a million pounds to hide you can invest them there very tax-efficiently.So, Man has three legs!?
As someone that requires a significant level of realism and plausibility in his crux scenarios, I’ve just realised how good a setting the Isle of Man would be for a dystopian regime enforced by crux!Yes that is the Coat of Arms of the Isle of Man. Motto: Quocunque Jeceris, Stabit
(Latin for "Wherever you throw it, it will stand")
In addition, Manx is still an official language alongside English.

Imagine the mainland wasted by war or disease, the Isle of Man standing alone, but with its limited supplies vulnerable to the influx& burden of ‘outsiders’
For those captured attempting to land on the island there is only one fate
No exceptions
Mmm…. I shall think on this!
Oh wow! That’s even better! You reminded me of This story
Perhaps the Isle of Man practices the tradition of substitutionary atonement, whereby the girl can offer herself to be crucified in his place.Oh wow! That’s even better!
Horny guy tries to reach his horny islander GF
They’re caught in the act and go to the cross their lust unsatisfied
He as an intruder
Her as an accomplice
Admired and desired as she is
It’s Mandatory
No exceptions!
Yeah that’s always a good themePerhaps the Isle of Man practices the tradition of substitutionary atonement, whereby the girl can offer herself to be crucified in his place.
Good idea, but I would prefer an island with better crucifixion weather! As someone that requires a significant level of realism and plausibility in his crux scenarios, I’ve just realised how good a setting the Isle of Man would be for a dystopian regime enforced by crux!

The Wales v Iran game was highly questionable. OK so the goalkeeper committed a foul and was sent off, but the original punishment was a yellow card. You can't be having a situation where someone gets punished for breaking the rules and then have the referee decide afterwards that the punishment should be increased. That's blatantly unfair I think.WALES 0. ENGLAND 3 And USA 1. IRAN 0
YIPPEEEE !!!!
For years, I used to do Google searches, providing me lists of thumbnails, which could be enlarged. With a print screen and copying them to a file, it was possible to collect hundreds of pics, even without going to the websites (something I was reluctant to do). Numerous pics posted on Tumblr did the rest : a huge collection, not for the artwork, but just for the exciting pic. it is only when I became active here, I found many artists of the so far anonymous colection I had. But many stil lhave no name.If you are posting pictures here from the internet, especially if they’re drawings or paintings or artworks of any kind..
Please please please remember that whoever created it deserves a name mention at least, you know, even artists are human (I’m not talking about AI, let’s not even go there..)
If you don’t know who the artist is, then maybe you are gathering your images from the wrong websites. If you just use Google search or whatever, you’ll get images with all the context stripped away, and if you show those images here, you’re compounding the problem. Get pictures from sites which give the artist’s name. Please.
So look. If you don’t know the artist’s name, that’s one thing. Just put “I don’t know who this genius is” and maybe other members can help. But if you not only don’t know, but also don’t care.. what are you even doing? What, you like their work enough to share it here, but don’t give a shit about the idiot who made it? How do you think that makes them feel?
Sorry for ranting, I may be a little pissed. (UK meaning, not USA)
p.s. I know a lot of you do this already, THANK YOU and keep up the good work.
As far as I know there is no such search engine out there. The fact is that, with all the good will in the world, it's more often than not impossible to determine who creates artwork on the internet - the vasy majority of us (myself included) will be finding most of our images on google images simply because that's the best and most efficient service to use, particularly if you're on a mobile device and not a real computer.Does anyone know of a search engine on the web that provides information about drawings and manips and shows me the artists (I don't mean Google, it doesn't work there). Because that is one of the reasons why you will find relatively few drawings by different artists that I post here.
In general I do put in some effort to credit the artists. Please please please remember that whoever created it deserves a name mention at least
I find the trick with DevArt is to view the image in a new tab to save it - if you save it from the original location, the title and artist's name do get replaced. In general I do put in some effort to credit the artists.
However there's one problem - due to the (understandable) limits on image posting I have recently been using imgur, which changes the filename of any image you upload there.
And so if the artist was in the filename that will be lost. A lot of image distribution services act similarly and even a place like Deviantart which normally produces filenames with the artist's name will sometimes serve downloads that are just letter/number jumbles (I don't understand the logic behind it but it may have something to do with image sizing settings...?)
If the artist doesn't put a clearly legible signature on it then at some point it becomes difficult. Especially with reverse image search having become effectively useless - this used to sometimes work.
I was wondering why reverse image search was useless...In general I do put in some effort to credit the artists.
