I used to have a printed copy.. it went in a book-purgeThanks Monty, I’ll be right back!
Weirdly I’ve never liked Farrel. Faces are too young looking for conmfort and body features sometimes oddly distorted for my taste. I suppose I don’t have to like every bdsm artist, but it’s highly unusual for me not to like b+w sketch artistry of such obvious quality. Meh, I still don’t like his style, sorry. Some very nice breast stretching by Farrel.
Enjoy.

What the hell is a “book purge”? It sounds horrifying, like burning old friends!I used to have a printed copy.. it went in a book-purge

Rome mined iron ores in a number of places around Europe, but most of them came from Noricum (modern Austria - Slovenia), which produced a high-quality iron they converted into Noric steel and transported to Rome, incurring considerable labour and freight costs.Nice picture but not realistic. Crucifixion was outlawed in the 4th century. Gradually the knowledge of how it was actually done was lost when the spectators died off. No instruction manuals were ever written on how to perform crucifixions so there was nothing for them to refer to about a 1000 years later when artists started to depict the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. So, they portrayed crucifixion somewhat unrealistically.
1. Victims were not nailed through their wrists or hands. The hands would not support the weight of a person (demonstrated through studies of cadavers) and nailing through the wrists would most likely tear into the radial or ulnar artery - causing extensive blood loss and death far faster than what the executioners desired (crucifixion was meant to be a slow torturous death) . Most likely their arms were simply bound to the cross by rope. No nail wounds in the arms or hands have been found on the bodies of people crucified in ancient times.
2. Nailing the persons feet through the arches (such as shown in your representation) is also "bad technique". Extensive blood loss would result from the tearing of the Plantar arteries and hasten death considerably. In fact, the feet have their own pedal pulse- such is the amount of blood being pumped into them. People who have had their feet penetrated this way (by accident) bleed quite extensively. People were nailed to the cross through their feet but those nails went through the heel bones. These nails have been recovered from some skeletal remains of ancient bodies and are the only nailing found on those bodies.
3. The nailing would have been incredibly painful ; however, the victim was probably only semiconscious by that point after having being beaten and whipped extensively. Therefore the pain, though still considerable, was survivable. The heel bones do not have major arteries so blood loss would not be great.
I too have had those brief bouts of temporary insanity. Fortunately I never got around to all of it. Paperbacks and magazines anyone? Going cheap... like free.I used to have a printed copy.. it went in a book-purge
To each his own, my friend. We all have different tastes and like what we like.Weirdly I’ve never liked Farrel. We could start a thread of artists we don’t like, I’m sure that won’t start any fights at all!To each his own, my friend. We all have different tastes and like what we like.
For me, I don't particularly like Gary Roberts art all that much, and I can't explain why. It may have to do with his females all looking pretty much alike (young cheerleaders or college coeds). His is good quality art and certainly nothing wrong with it at all (I have quite a bit of it actually), but it just doesn't turn me on that much.
monty is afraid because he would lose the toilet paper... besides, paper burns well... that won't happen to you in the cave!It was pretty horrifying!

Actually he looks like a neighbor from down the street. Got himself arrested for drawing naked women on 8 mail boxes and a pink flamingo yard ornament in the neighborhood. Caught him red handed and covered in ink.More erotic than my avatar?? IMPOSSIBLE
The one with the small bonfire has always been a favourite of ours.
The Native American one with fire is particularly good.
