Medieval art has some quite gruesome illustrations of saintly torture, women as well as men, and they were not afraid of exposed bodies. The artists also likely had first hand experience of seeing such things themselves. This nailing scene has a feel of authenticity in how they handle ropes for example!
The lack of plate suggests a little earlier, maybe 14th C
Now that's religious art.

The bearded man [in the second photo] has an interesting assortment of tattoos on his body. This photo manip I did is sort of dark, but he fits in well with the theme.

Two images, with 9MB. Invisible for a lot of members (me too) with slow connections. Thats are typical trafficrobbers. Such images driving the costs for the website.
175 views, thats near as 1,6GB traffic! For one image. Not a wonder thats the cost for the forum rising up.
