Garden Party at the Treehouse. Playing “hangman’s bluff”?
 
I found this sequence of hanging artwork with an accompanying storyline in a mixed gallery online -- can't remember which site, motherless.com possibly. A series of three controlled experiments with not-quite-willing subjects:

A hanging serie. Rather old and quality not so good...
It’s known as a “hillbilly hangout”. Usually done in the spring when the good ole boys tire of the mail order Yankee blue state bride they acquired in the autumn.

Spring is a time of renewal in Arkansas. And there’s only so much complaining that a good ole boy is willing to tolerate.
