Well, it's a while since I've posted any poems,
Messaline's lovely picture and words encouraged me to look out some of my little love-poems
in the forms of Japanese haiku or Chinese yung wu ('short poems on objects):
Anticipation
Grey eyes half-open,
Lips, a door left lightly ajar
Expecting a guest.
Dawn
Still dark. One bird sings.
Gently fingers touch your breast.
Invading your dream.
Kimono
White-petalled flower
Enfolding your nectaries
Till you feel the bee.
Longing for me
White gauze parts, to show
Your slender waist. Your belt’s loose
With longing for me.
Slip off your clothes!
The guttering flame now dies,
Now flares again. There’s light enough
To slip off your clothes!
Your hair on the pillow
Breeze-rippled waters,
Isle in a light-rimmed stream
Your hair on the pillow.
The dragon’s tongue
The sharp moon slides west,
Your sweat’s like orchid-oil. Don’t flinch
From the dragon’s tongue!
