The Elfen Warrior

From the misty lands of Alfheim
There comes an Elfen-maid
Such courage in her eyes doth shine
Of nothing she’s afraid!

No gentle, timid maiden, she,
Though lovely to the eye;
An Elfen warrior, bold and free
And not afraid to die.

With elfen bow of finest yew,
And sword of gleaming steel
She terrifies the soldiers who
Would rape, and maim, and kill.

These evil men’s blood curdling cry
Echoes throughout the land
They strip, and whip, and crucify
Who falls into their hands.

Two girls, one dark, one auburn haired
Stand naked, terrified
Red weals across their buttocks, bared
Soon they’ll be crucified.

Eight burly soldiers, two nude girls
Yet, what they didn’t know -
Unseen, the elfen maid unfurls
Her arrows, and her bow.

A grimy brute, eyes wide with shock,
An arrow through his throat
His grip upon their arms unlocks
Blood pouring down his coat.

A second strike, a soldier screams,
An arrow in his crotch
So Connie ends his wedding dreams
As another arrow’s notched.

Cx and Barb, surprised and free
(Though neither girl is daft)
Turn round and sprint fast for the trees
As Connie fired a shaft.

(Your chronicler now stops to view
These girls running undressed
And how can I describe to you
Their lovely swinging breasts?)

She fires fast, to cover them
The soldiers can not fight
They thought they faced a dozen men
With Connie not in sight.

And so the squad of soldiers died
No loss, these men depraved
Two fine young girls, uncrucified
Thank Connie! They are saved!

Thank Connie, who always comes to my rescue without fail! :)

And thank Wragg for such an inspiring poem (and for freely admitting that watching our breasts sway as we flee undressed is enough to stop even him momentarily from finishing his chronicler's task;))

Ally bally ally-bally-bee,
Laddies a' rin after me,
Rinnin scuddie wi ma wee bawbee
Tae buy some Urban Candy!

based on the weel-kent Glesca bairns' sang,
'Coulter's Candy'
scuddie = naked
bawbee = a ha'penny

Wragg,
What a great story so wonderfully told! I can't help but read it over and over. The pacing/meter makes for a snappy, imagery-rich read. A brave warrior, evil men, helpless naked women (running no less!), and salvation from a cruel death -- what more can you want! Just superb! I wish I were an artist. I'd love to story-board this tale!

Thanks Shevak, too kind... inspired by Connie, of course. I wish someone could story-board it, but it'd be an almighty lot of work.

Awww, Yupar! :) :) Mwah!

You may have thought Connie had got away with her impudence.

Connie may have thought Connie had got away with her impudence!

But life is never that simple....

Part II

The evil king, Sciuridan
On hearing of this loss
Was not a very happy man
In fact, he was quite cross.

“The finest soldiers in my force
“Now laying cold and dead?
“A horse! A horse! Bring me my horse!
“I’ll do the job instead!”

The camps, alive with orders loud
Alarm bells, they did ring
And soon, a vast and angry crowd
Led by an angry king.

**************************************************

A cottage, home to quite a dame -
Eulalia lived there
An oracle of national fame
And wise, and good, and fair.

And here, within the northern woods
Four ladies had their tea
And Eul had dished up lovely goods
As any would agree!

Siss, ‘twixt mouthfuls of cream cake
And hot and steaming brew:
“Sciuridan a fuss will make
“So what are we to do?”

She gazed into a crystal ball
(A sorceress was she)
But as she gazed, she was appalled
At what she there did see!

“What’s up?” asked Barb, (her doughnut sweet
Was sticky in her hands,)
“I see at least ten thousand feet
“Of vicious, evil bands!”

“They’re ravaging the countryside
“They’re burning every town
“They’ve raped, they’ve killed, they’ve crucified
“They’re hunting Connie down!”

Connie had a cream éclair
A steaming cup of tea;
“You mean the cause of this despair
“Is little elfen me?”

Now Connie, as we’ve seen, is not
Much prone to feeling fear
But, hearing of this dreadful plot
She shed an elfen tear.

“Well now,” said Eul, “I have a plan
“To rid our pleasant land
“Of this foul man, Sciuridan
“And his disgusting band!”

“But Connie, this you need to know
“It won’t be very nice;
“For you must leave this place and go
“And be a sacrifice.”

“For in this book it’s written down”
(She held an ancient tome)
“That when an elf is nailed down
“Her enemy is doomed.”

“For elves from every far-flung place
“Will rise, in numbers vast
“And they won’t leave the slightest trace
“Of that king and his cast!”

“But this must be for you to choose
“This cottage is hid well
“Stay here, your life you’ll never lose
“Beneath my magic spell.”

“But if you hang upon a cross
“Though elves come swift with strife
“I fear I’m at an utter loss
“To guarantee your life.”

Siss cried out then “He’s coming near!”
“That swine Sciuridan!
“He’s only just a mile from here!
“That foul, revolting man!”

So Connie stood, and she kissed them
A fine but tearful sight
She hugged all three again and then
She stepped into the night.
