Oh, I don't think they were all that tough. Quite enjoyable really. But I'm not a woman!

That's why. No-one has said it was tough for men (although it really could
become tough for those too, if the local duke needed the 'simple people'
for his protection against the Noble next valley who got randy for his castle
or the king called to go to war for his benefit, hopefully).
But basically, in cf everything is focussed on and centered around the crux,
preferably also for the men to watch and the women to suffer.
How simple responsibilities once were parted!

Survive or not! What the mother thinks about, hanging on hooks, the pain pierces her entire body. Will I survive or is it better to die? If I survive, then the boobs will be torn and amputated, the belly and uterus are pierced through with a large hook, blood mixed with urine flows out of the vagina! And the owner watches and enjoys my suffering! Only the artist knows whether I will survive or not!?!?
