Does anybody know of a good online English to Latin translator? Or perhaps someone can offer his/her services? I believe some of my attempts in my sketches would have gotten me crucified for abuse of the Latin
Don't worry... I've lived in the middle of the US and most people question my English!!!

google does a surprising good job with single words or short phrases. I would be glad to help. But if its complicated, Eulalia is the language and Latin expert here.

Just English in general...
Tom Lehrer from Boston talked of his time as a draftee in the army and related that his drill sergeant had a speaking handicap, "He was from Georgia and didn't speak our language very well."

Lol I learnt British English in school and to this day I have to watch out how to pronounce certain English words the American way it took a guy at the counter 5 minutes to figure out that I wanted “Dr. Pepper”!

I learned proper English in school and now people look strange when I distinguish shall, will, can; should, would, could.

Wasn’t this a song for a commercial or something?

Wasn’t this a song for a commercial or something?
There was such a song many years ago. Now for some trivia-- The drink originated in the central-Texas city of Waco (WAKE-oh) and was called a Waco at first. Somewhere along the line someone decided to call it Dr. Pepper, perhaps in an effort to market it as a health tonic. It is no longer produced in Waco, although there is a Dr. Pepper Museum there. The main plant is in Dublin, TX. Yes, Dublin. There is also a Paris, TX, of course, and a number of other names derived from European capitals. This is probably more than anyone wanted to know, but I felt in the mood to share.

Talking of sharing, Barb's complaints about the weather mid-west USA has been so persistent that it crossed the Atlantic and was featured by the BBC. Technical talk about polar vortex splitting into two, one to USA, one to Siberia, so don't go blaming the Russians!

With these low temperatures, I'm sure Britain would be in serious trouble, our houses and heating systems are just not up to it. Bright sun here in the Windy Pennines, temps vary from -4C to 4C.
