A married woman must get punished even more than a single one. The reason is, she did the criminal act, although she knew she was in her liaison. Beside of this she got to know more more pleasures and more joyousness, so she must be tortured specifically hard. Take all clothes away from her and punish her with endurance. Her husband may be watching her. But she must be taken hard, especially when she is young.

There should be respect for the law only. The married woman will submit to her punishment, stripped and nailed as the law intended. Why should a criminal receive special treatment?
Her husband should attend the execution. It will be shameful for him, knowing that what was once his alone is now visible to the whole world, but the added humiliation for the woman is worth it in the eyes of the law.
Would she be humiliated? Or would she draw strength from him? Hard to say. Would he be distraught, or could the sight of her naked and suffering arouse him despite his grief?

Normally a woman who is expecting would be spared until the birth of the child. Should a mother with small children be spared, her husband to go in her place? Rias seems to think so. As Pater Familias he should condemn his wife himself or fully support the judgement by state appointed officials.
If not he is a menace to Roman Law and dealt accordingly.
