In general I always prefer outdoor crux scenes, but a crypt with the coffins around the walls some open and standing up would be good too.
I imagine the Kirk at Alloway in Tam O'Shanter. "Coffins stood round like open presses that shew'd the dead in their last dresses."
(Presume that refers to a linen press, not to a massive hydraulic press as Mr Bramah was not on the scene then.)
Yes, 'press' was a Scots word for a chest or cupboard, especially one for clothes

@Barbaria1 : Would really you talk of psychological terror when your two wrists are already nailed to a cross? :devil:

I’d probably be far too occupied with screaming and writhing on my cross to talk coherently about anything :confused::facepalm:
