I would like to know why one is whipped and the other not...? It is an interesting detail.

Both have whipped backs but the left one received additional lashes to the front because she cursed out the Roman gods as her friend was nailed to her cross.

These two women decided to celebrate Good Friday in an appropriate way. When they are taken down from the crosses after 6 - 9 hours, they will rest and regenerate the wounds left by the nails and flogging, conscious of experiencing the Passion of the Lord on their own bodies.
