Сrucifix Art By Markus

And crucifixion is "not brutal" and "necessary"?
;)
If you don't like something that is posted, it's as easy as "looking away".

The oposite is more difficult (looking at content that has not been posted because all the time somebody has to object).
If we reduce this comunity to "what everybody likes", then I'm not even sure if "fucking" will stay on the list.

I was careful not to criticise others (bad site manners ) but explained just how I felt.
I am allowed to have an opinion!

I did not prescribe anyone else's taste - just my own

I did not dictate what should or should not be shown or discussed on this site.

Please be polite to me in future

But what please is the goal (if you are honest) in saying "I don't like this"?

Inherently you are asking for "this kind of stuff should not be posted" (or you simply would say nothing), isn't it?

There is a difference between having an own taste and trying to supress stuff that is not in one's personal taste.

Not claiming that anyone here is doing this intentionally / in conscience, I am just pointing at "mechanisms" and trying to make people aware that we all are "a minority" somewhen and somehow.

"Not being mainstream" by far isn't a reason to supress anything.

And no, no offense meant, this is just a discussion.

The subject matter of our Forums entails portrayals of cruelty and violence, and the range of acceptable content is wide. However, we are not, and do not intend to become, an "open house" site for all kinds of hard-core sadistic pornography.
Examples of content that is not wanted and will not be allowed include:

portrayals that focus excessively on mutilation or dismemberment (body parts being, or having been, cut or ripped off)

Got it?
Frankly I think they're lousy drawings that a smutty teenager would be ashamed of.
If they were any more realistic, they'd be off.

I have never criticised yours even though some of your comments have been impolite and caused offence.
'So far as it depends on me, I try to live in peace with all' (biblical quote)
No offense - lets be friends

Not wanting to go down that road (discussion) any further, but so far I was reading
portrayals that focus excessively on mutilation or dismemberment (body parts being, or having been, cut or ripped off)
(what sure isn't the theme here, and not mine either)
and not
portrayals that show mutilation or dismemberment (body parts being, or having been, cut or ripped off)

Agreed, these don't "focus excessively", they're only two rather poor pics in an otherwise acceptable series.
That's why they're still there.
But Cruxlover and Pooper have commented on them as they're entitled to do,
and so I've reminded everybody involved what the Rules say.
I don't think there's any need for further argument.

I liked most of this, but I don't care for the last two pics, where the girls breasts are cut off:eek: . I know crucifixion was (is) brutal:( , but my personal interest is in the more "artistic" (if that is the right word) of scenes:) . This is for me a tad too grim, though I know that such things happened, Boudicea's men (or women) did this to British women that they found with Romans.
What do other Crux fans think of this?:D

To be perfectly honest with you cruxlover I agree with you entirely. I do think Markus lacks finesse to say the least which is one of the reasons I would not collect his work and archive it. He is of course very skilled with pen and paper but definitely not my cup of tea. I have been tempted to delete his pics but I can't take them seriously and can't be bothered, besides other folk genuinely like his works. Why did he never post on this site? ...not that I would like him to!!
I'm quite happy for this discussion to continue as long as it is carried out in a civilised manner.
Melissa

I do not like Markus' torture of women already crucified (any more than I like NV's totally flogged victims) but I do think he captures expressions, real or imagimed better than most.

Ah, thank you, Ulrike, the new computer is fine...

If Markus' style is so "bad and not acceptable", why is his art (and also this specific story!, together with an other one that even "worse" in terms of mutilation) on CruxDrams, the hosting sponsor of this site???

As far as the discussion is concerned: Pooper took offense, I tried to resolve this, but the (civilized, non-offensive) reply got pulled. So I am out of here.

I sent a short version of the pulled post to Pooper via PM, what resolved it for him, but the large public will have it standing where it is, as far as i am concerned.

Yes, no-one's suggested that Markus's pics should be censored, or that they're unacceptable, some have said they liked them, some they didn't, and that's just the kind of debate that should be going on. But a personal spat between two individuals over who said what and what they meant is of no interest to the rest of us and is best conducted (if at all) in private.

Agree that's why we have a private box;)

I never meant that those two pics should be censored, I am certainly not in favour of that.
I was just aiming to find out what other crux fans thought of those pics.
As I rather expected - some like and some don't. But most are not in favour of censorship by any means.
I apologise for being provocative and am not offended by any of the comments.
If I don't like some thing - then I only look at it once and don't save it to my hard drive.
I agree that, whilst the drawings may lack finesse, they do capture expressions very well. For that reason I did save the other pics in this story and have viewed them again.

I'm Messaline, not Messi,and i' dont earn € 12.000.000,--in a year!
