I hope this is an appropriate place for this....

I will having be cataract surgery in a few weeks, and though I'm not overly concerned about it, I thought I would ask if anyone here has had that done and if there is any advice on what to expect afterwards.

Not had anything like that, and frankly they'd have to catch me first, but I'll take this opportunity to wish you all the very best and hoping for a great outcome

My grandmother had such an operation. Her worse eye was treated first, and later the second. Your eye lens is removed and replaced with an artificial one. And my grandmother had to wear an eye patch after the operation, but I don't know if that's still necessary today.
All the best for the surgery.

I neither have had such a surgery. From other interventions I had, I know that the prospect may feel worrying. I wish you good courage and the best outcome already!

I had both eyes done, two weeks apart, several years ago. No problems except one eye with minor scratch that healed in a week. I do remember all the eye drops I had to use. Have somebody show you how to tip head back and place eye drop in bottom corner of eye, not directly on eye.

My elder brother and sister, both 70+, have had cataract surgery, successfully. My sister, who’s worn glasses/contacts since childhood, reports that she no longer needs them. I myself have had a cataract growing in my right eye since the Dubya Administration, and in a few years it’ll be time for me.

Bottom line @wulf, it’s a mature, routine surgical procedure. Keep us posted on how it goes for you.

I think about everyone in my immediate has had it done, so it wasn't a big surprise.

Actually the eye drop thing is a bit concerning (that I do it correctly) and I appreciate that tip. I'm in the same boat, right eye first, then the left 3 weeks later.
Thank you for the input.

I think mine have been developing for a few years, but lately has started to interfere with my enjoyment of naked females. I can't be having that, so I'll do what it takes to fix. :D

Thanks for the encouragement, and I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes.

I was in and out in 15 minutes! Afterwards, I needed drops in the eye for about six weeks. No problems and I wish the same to you!

this pinup photo was hand drawn by a artist named Armando huerta who unfortunately had severe depression early 2020 and killed himself, this is the only photo I had saved because it’s a sexy nurse with jennifer connelly as the inspiration
I have dealt with my share of depression and I sympathize with others who suffer it's effects. It's so sad that such an artistic talent was lost.

Thank you for posting this beautiful drawing.

I'm for anything based on Jennifer Connelly!

Did anyone see the story about the mermaid statue in Monopoli in Italy?
