upside down crucifixion

Unfortunately no cross, but you can imagine to be crucified head down at the St. Andrew's cross.
How incredibly demeaning and exciting to be crucified in this way !
I don't know whether this form of crucifixion has been executed in Roman times, but the idea is fantastic. !
By the way, greetings to Indya. Maybe you like the picture too.

In the state of Tennessee, in the Nashville TN suburbs, there was a bondage related death. One female tied her boyfriend/or husband, she tied him to their bed, and he was spread wide open, spread eagle, spread like an X. She left him tied to the bed, while she went shopping. When she returned several hours later, he was dead. She called the police. She told the police what happened. She was arrested and is serving a prison sentence. I heard this story from a Tennessee Domme. When we play in bondage, we must be careful. Safety first!

It's just stupid to really go away!
One may fake it, but there needs to be some sort of supervision!

An old picture of different types of crucifixion with head down. It's a funny picture, because the artist has taken a typical medieval central European landscape as background but the crucifixions inspire my imagination.
I imagine that those forms of crucifixion has been practiced by the Roman executioners in mass crucifixions.

The one on the right seems more likely to be the Roman method, rather than the one on the left, which is the way St Peter's crucifixion is usually depicted. If crosses were built with the mortise & tenon method, then this would have been much easier to construct, especially if the stipes was permenantly in place. Also, I think it would be easier to nail the feet in that way.
Someone on The Dark Spot, where I posted my recent "Ampicrux" series, suggested that method as way to crucify an armless victim. I don't think Demetrius of Pergamum would approve, because death would come very quickly, but I am thinking of trying it anyway.

OOps!!Please upload the two pics again as thumbnails. Melissa
While you can't beat the traditional crux there are some interesting variations and I'm sure in antiquity the executioners had a free rein to expose their victims in various positions for the pleasure of the mob. Maybe the attached artworks are a bit too elaborate but interesting nonetheless and well done. In the case of the second one perhaps death was hastened by a bit of target practice.View attachment 68349View attachment 68350

The first image is very important: the woman is in a very bad position!
If she moves her hands nails the hands torn. In fact there is no stable ligament between a finger and the other, better to plant the nails in the wrists.
If you move your feet can't breathe and dies. The head down position lead to a cerebral edema within a few hours. Nausea, vomiting, delirium, possible brain hemorrhage and death. However, a terrible death!
Why, to increase the pain does not tie the hair with a weight?

Fortunately it is a virtual image.
In fact, this woman can not do anything but die as soon as possible: 1) the position is dramatic 2) can not move the arms 3) can not move the legs to lift the torso 4) every minute falls deeper and deeper stretching the basin with unbelievable pain in the joints of the femurs 5) the torso stretches and shrinks 6) the lungs can not pump oxygen. 7) If the pole behind the head is a garrotte (yes it is, looks purple face and tongue out) ... so be it a blow of lance!

if u had a choice would u rather hang upside down with your feet/hands nailed to the crossbeam or in the up right postion ?

i would rather have the old school way but thats is just me & rope over nails any day
safety first
