W8+ USA and Canada through to A final in very simular times... Next fastest boats GB and Russia (also close)NL to repechage in 2nd slowest heat time (but that doesnt matter too much... If you dont come 1st in the heat youre just racing for repechage lanes)

Poor GB LW2X - they expected gold - nightmare row from easy qual to 4th in 10 strokes and then a terribly embarassing crab.... Even more gutted for NL W8+ - Heleen was late into the crew from W2- and stroked brilliantly - they got through the Russians but lost in the very last stroke... Such a shame!
But some great rowing all round too! Three more days to go!
