He would have to be a damned good swordsman to take her head off without striking the blade against the stocks. Not impossible, but not much more realistic than the sword and block beheading so often seen in movies that would never have happened in real life.

So many groups, so many different views on execution. I've seen a few of them. Some were like real, others like a joke. I personally like the ones that are more realistic.

How many groups so many different views. In the pictures SDŠ Argyll (SK) with the performance "Confused - Pomätená". Just a pity the girl is not barefoot. It's always nice and in my opinion more realistic when she is condemned barefoot. But the performance is fine.

I am looking for medieval fairs or renaissance festivals that would offer me the opportunity to suffer real public punishment, like being sentenced to the public pillory, stocks or even public whipping post or ducking stool type punishment. Anyone know of such a place? That is a medieval renaissance festival?

At the Lompoc Renfaire in 2017, I was arrested and convicted as a Common Lift, or shoplifter. The Constables of the Shire made me remove my shift, and then I was locked in a "thief's fiddle," a wooden framework that restrained my hands and head. The only garment that I was wearing was my Clan Lindsay kilt.
I was then led through the streets, half-naked and wearing only my kilt, as I was whipped. Then I was handed over to a pirate guild, and they locked my head and hands in a pillory.
I was in the pillory for probably 45 minutes. Flies landed on my shoulders and back, but with my hands restrained, I was unable to shoo them away. Passersby asked me why I was being restrained in the pillory, and I explained that I was being punished as a shoplifter.
Eventually, a group of musicians began performing nearby, and I began dancing to their music. I did a vigorous barelegged and barefoot dance to every tune they played. At the end of their performance, they congratulated "our dancer"--me. And then, I was finally let go.

Please explain in more detail what you meant? As far as I know, in France something like Renfire tickling is done in the way of medieval torture. That is not the case in our region.We always appreciate yous shows.
A pity french people are afraid of their own witchunts....
