Ah, just what is the story between these two?
Here is my interpretation of these amazing images:
Barbaria has been condemned to death by crucifixion. Early in the morning, as the sun rises and the air is yet cool, she is being whipped along the way as she balances the heavy crossbeam across her back. Barbaria formerly operated a high-class brothel, providing talented young prostitutes to customers with plenty of coin.Barbaria was a whore herself, at first. But the previous madam saw that her intelligence was a great asset in management of the brothel. When the madam later took ill and knew she was going to die, she turned over ownership of the business to Barbaria, who was only 20 years old at the time. Barbaria ably expanded and operated the business for the next five years, catering to an ever higher status of clients.
But she was accused of being involved in a murder plot that took the life of a Senator. Her trial was swift and she was found guilty -- of course. But she's innocent! Who could have implicated her in this dastardly crime? This thought burns in her mind as she struggles down the road towards her crucifixion.
In the quickly gathering crowd (imagine one) Barbaria sees one of her finest whores standing by the side of the road watching as she is marched by. It's Emily! Emily, the girl who warmed her own bed. She loves Emily and knows Emily loves her. "Emily," she calls out. "Oh Emily, I'm to be crucified. But I'm innocent! You know I am!"
"Keep moving, bitch!" Shouts the soldier escorting her to her death. He applies the whip across Barbaria's back to encourage her to keep moving.
But it is one stroke too many. Barbaria collapses to the pavement. The heavy crossbeam lies across her back. "Get up cunt, get moving!" The soldier curses and shouts, but Barabaria is too exhausted. She lies face-down in the road. Crying piteously.
Suddenly she feels a searing pain in her anus. The soldier is ramming the handle end of his whip up her asshole! First the bulbous end, then nearly the full length of the handle. She screams in agony at the dreadful, humiliating assault. The crowd cheers. "Yes, get the bitch moving! We want to see her crucified!"
"Get up you fucking bitch," shouts the soldier. "You have a ways to go. Get up!""I can't, I can't!" Pleads Barbaria.

The soldier escorting Barbaria to her execution is frustrated. He sees Emily in the crowd. "You, girl." He points to Emily. "You know this bitch, do you not? I heard her speak to you.""Yes, I know her." Mumbles Emily.
"If you know her then you might be guilty of the same crime that condemned her. You are beautiful and young. Many would not object to see you hanging from a cross!"
"Oh no, sir. She was my employer. Her slave, actually. I was a prostitute in her brothel"
"So you might be glad to see your former mistress condemned to death?"
"No, sir." I do not. She was kind to me. We were lovers, actually."
"Help us get her to her feet and on the way. If you do there may be some benefit to you. If not, who knows what accusations might be made against you!"
Emily is terrified at hearing these words. She and Barbaria indeed shared a bed, and were lovers. But Barbaria was her owner, and she was just a slave, however she was treated. Should she have any sense of loyalty to her former mistress, now condemned to death by crucifixion? Emily did the quick reasoning. No, despite their former relationship, she owed Barbaria nothing at this point if it put her own life in danger. The brothel was closed. She's probably lucky she wasn't already accused of complicity with Barbaria in the crime that condemned her. No, she must do what is in her best interests at this point.
"I will help you," she tells the soldier.
"Good girl," he replies. "You will be rewarded. Now, get this bitch to her feet and on the way!"
Emily reaches out to Barbaria, prostrate on the ground with the heavy crossbeam pinning her down. "Barbaria, it's me, Emily."Barbaria looks up into the kind face of her former slave, her former lover.
"Oh Emily, dear Emily. I'm innocent! They're going to crucify me!"
"I know you are innocent dear. But this cannot be avoided. Please, the sooner you get moving again, the sooner it will all end for you. The soldier tells me that if you get to your feet and walk they will grant some mercy, limit your suffering (oh, I'm lying here!). It is in your interest (no, actually mine), my dear."
Barbaria gasps, in pain. "I can't, can't, with that thing up my ass. Too fucking painful."
"Excuse me, sir," Emily addresses the soldier standing over them. "would you please remove the whip handle from her. That will help her get up."
The soldier bends down and roughly pulls out the handle. Barbaria grunts and shrieks in pain as the object is removed from her rectum.
Emily helps Barbaria to her knees. "See, my dear, it is not so hard. please, you must stand up."
Each girl leans in to the other. Their lips meet. They kiss, passionately!
Emily's hand slips down between Barbaria's legs and begins to gently stroke and probe the delicate flesh there. Barbaria gasps in sudden pleasure as Emily's fingers find her clit."Oh, they've tortured you so badly my dear," says Emily. I can tell you've been abused."
"Yes, yes, moans Barbaria. I've been raped so many times. But your hand and fingers make me feels so wonderful!"
